Bellerophon, is a live alternative synth-pop project based out of Providence, Rhode Island. Its music mixes gritty bass lines and danceable rhythms with dreamy melodies weaved within intricate samples, combined with funky electric guitar riffs within a vintage indie rock sound, subtle vocals, hyped analog drum beats, and etherial synth pads.
Bellerophon's debut ep "Teosinte" was released on June 7, 2016, and is available worldwide in most digital platforms. Shortly after Teosinte's release, Bellerophon was awarded "Electronic Act of the Year" by performing arts newsletter "Law and Order Party", and was additionally nominated in three categories for "Album of the year" and "Song of the year".
Since 2015, Bellerophon has taken part in shows throughout the American Northeast and Eastern Canada in places such as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal and Toronto, also performing periodically in Providence and the surrounding area.
This past March Bellerophon was selected to participate in Converse's signature recording session, "Converse Rubber Tracks" in Boston, MA, where we produced and released our newest single titled "No ban No wall," a politically charged song, with an optimistic view over the most recent and most disastrous political, humanitarian, and environmental events in the most recent years.
